Let's get to know each other! I'll go first.
A native Floridian, I grew up in Shalimar with my parents and “little” brother (Don’t tell him I said so;). My favorite haunts were Meig’s Beach and the Destin Crab Trap. I’ve always had an affinity for water and sky. Waterscape has always captivated me, and it shows up in the places I go and the pictures I take to this day.
As a child, people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. My answer was always the same: “I want to be a wife and mother, and I want to have six kids...or more,” I would say with a grin. Well, I got my wish. I am married to a strong, hard-working man and we have seven, yes, SEVEN, children…together…biologically…and no multiples either. We lead a very busy and full life. It’s crazy and chaotic, but boy is it rewarding!
Little did I know that, between juggling the busy life of a mother and supporting my husband as he grew his business, I would also find time to develop a passion for real estate. I found that I got a thrill out of buying and selling, renovation and design. When I first went back to school full time and work part time, after being primarily a stay-at-home parent for 16 years, I went into the appraisal field. Currently, I am finishing my apprenticeship to become a certified Florida appraiser, hopefully this summer. If you’re a praying person, feel free to pray that I pass the crazy hard State exam!
After working in the appraisal industry for nearly two years, I felt like I was missing out on too much of the fun! I realized I was itching to get into the interactions with buyers and sellers. I decided in that moment that it was time to pursue a sales license, and I haven’t looked back since.
I get so happy when I can help someone find a home they love or sell a home their family has outgrown. It's truly a privilege to be part of these pivotal moments, where dreams are realized and new chapters begin. And what better place to build a life than the Emerald Coast? I don’t think I’ll ever lose the joy of driving over bridge and looking expectantly for a dolphin’s fin to emerge from the water. It’s a special place, and I’m so grateful to call it, “Home.”
